Where to go on holiday?
I'm trying to think of somewhere to go on holiday that is within 4-5 hours max flight from uk and has the following things:
Nice SANDY beach
Plenty of shops/bars etc
Some historical/nice tourist attractions
Somewhere hot
Any suggestions?

Tunisia - cheap all inclusive packages, just under 4 hours flying, LOADS to do including quad biking, water sports, camel treks, ancient city excursions and also plenty of shops and bars. Try haggling in Medinas (ancient markets).
Also the beaches are long, white sand - most hotels have private beaches with security staff to stop beach sellers bothering you.
Sounds perfect for you, Enjoy! I've been to Sousse and Tunis, would recommend Sousse highly (we stayed at Hotel Tour Khalef).
